Which standards can be performed on SnagPod?
SnagPod was developed at James Heal with the support of prominent retailers and test houses, for the evaluation of snagging tendencies in knitted or woven apparel fabrics.
The SnagPod octagonal chamber is attached to Orbitor, which is controlled through an intuitive touch screen.
SnagPod complies with the following standard:
- BS 8479 Textiles – Method for determination of propensity of fabrics to snagging – Rotating chamber method.
The speed, duration and reversal may all be altered on Orbitor, which allows for the development of in-house test methods.
