AccuDry

What temperatures should be achieved with AccuDry using ISO 6330?

AccuDry is classed as a Type A1 tumble dryer – Vented. See section 5.2 on page 3.

Specification details in Annex G on page 20 includes 2 maximum figures for the controlled exhaust temperature:

·    Normal temperature – Max. 80°C

·    Lower temperature – Max. 60°C

This information can be misleading, giving the impression that these are the upper and lower limit for the exhaust temperature.

Page 7, section 10.2.2. states that the minimum exhaust temperature should always be 40°C:

“For the machines specified in 5.2, ensure that the temperature of the exhaust from the drum is set at a minimum temperature of 40°C and not exceeding 80°C for normal fabrics and 60°C for delicate fabrics. Operate the dryer until the load is dry, and continue tumbling for 5 min with the heat turned off. Remove the fabrics immediately.”

The above states that the maximum exhaust temperature for normal fabrics is 80°C, which is the ‘Normal temperature’ in Annex G. Therefore, for normal fabrics the acceptable range for the exhaust temperature is 40°C to 80°C.

It also states that the maximum exhaust temperature for delicate fabrics is 60°C which is the ‘Lower temperature’ in Annex G. Therefore, for delicate fabrics the acceptable range for the exhaust temperature is 40°C to 60°C.

Any calibration readings that occur between 40°C and the set temperature would confirm that AccuDry complies with ISO 6330:2012.

Cool down time with the heaters off is 5 minutes.
