TestWise for Titan – Data Collection Frequency

Many standards for the testing of textile fabrics have a requirement such as: If the recording of force and extension is obtained by means of data acquisition boards and software, the frequency of data collection shall be at least 8 per second.

The default data collection frequency (often referred to as data sampling rate) in TestWise is 20 per second. That is, data for force, extension and status of the Titan instrument is taken every 50 ms.

You can see the value in TestWise > File > Options > General > Communications

When not testing, the data collection frequency is reduced to 200 ms (5 times per second), mainly to observe the status of the Titan instrument.

We recommend not changing these values unless requested by James Heal Technical Support.
